A Good Turnout for the Monthly Hill Walk on Saturday

posted 24 Aug 2015, 03:15 by Philip Mulligan   [ updated 24 Aug 2015, 03:34 ]

Twelve people took part in the walk on Saturday covering a climb up Knocknacloghoge  and then down to Lough Dan. There was perfect weather for the first hour after that the usual Irish rain showed its ugly head. Anyway the group powered ahead and reached the top where the clouds cleared for a few minutes to allow a lovely view of Loch Dan. As the clouds were moving in again a decision was made to head straight back .The walk took about 3 hrs 20 mins.  A stopover was made in Enniskerry on the way back for a few drinks and food. Thanks again to tom Gallery for organising and bringing the group up and down safely. The date for the next walk will be announced in the next week or so.  Check out some photos from the day below.
