Another successful walk in Knocknacloghoge at Lough Dan

posted 28 Feb 2018, 03:55 by Philip Mulligan

The final walk in the kickstart series took place on Saturday as we ventured up Knocknacloghoge at Lough Dan. Another really nice dry day though a bit on the chilly side saw a great turnout of 19 take on the mountain. The group experienced a bit of real hill walking as we trod through the heather and had some gorse bushes were also thrown into the mix. Check out the photos below. We retreated to the Sugarloaf Café for the usual fare of chowder and soup afterwards. The series has been a great success with an average close on 20 for each walk and a core group coming every week. We will now revert to the regular Tennis Club walks and I’m sure many of this group will continue on. The proposed dates for the next 3 walks are March 10th, April 7th and April 28th.
