Glenalbyn Tennis Club - COVID 19 - Update

posted 16 Mar 2020, 10:57 by Philip Mulligan

As a result of the COVID 19 virus and announcements from An Taoiseach and Tennis Ireland the following steps have now been taken:

All internal tournaments, coaching and social tennis are suspended until further notice.

Clubhouse and changing rooms are now closed so there is no access to the floodlights

Tennis courts will remain open to members pending further advice. Access will be through the side gate only.

Members are asked to use sensible precautions and follow HSE advice. Avoid shaking hands after play and touching your face during games.

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO ACCESS TO HAND WASHING FACILITIES, CHANGING ROOMS OR FLOODLIGHTS**

We ask members not to visit the Club if they have travelled to any of the infected areas within the last fourteen days or have been in contact with anyone who has contracted the virus within the last fourteen days. Any members that feel sick or are experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness, including coughing and/or sneezing, must not attend the Club.

We will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and will be guided by HSE guidelines and government policy.

We have not made any of these decisions lightly and we are taking the best advice available, our primary goal at this time is that we all stay safe and healthy through this crisis.

We thank you again for your patience and understanding during this very challenging period for all and we hope you all stay safe during these extraordinary times.
