Monthly Hill Walk - October - Trooperstown Hill

posted 24 Oct 2016, 13:47 by Philip Mulligan

We had a great walk on Saturday with a big turnout of 15. Despite a minor hiccup about the starting point (I hope no one was waiting for us at the Shay Elliott memorial) and nearly being run over on the way up and down on the Forest road by a mature woman in a Nissan Micra, we all made it up and down in one piece. Thanks to Tom’s friend Tony for showing us the way and Tom for his usual navigation. Great views from the top of the hill after a reasonably easy and short climb – we were able to see a lot of the mountains we have covered over the last year or so. All in all a great day. Check out the photos below from the day. Details of the November walk to follow soon.
