Monthly Hill Walk - Saturday 16th May

We had a great walk on Saturday with 12 people turning out for our assault on Djouce from the Luggala side of the mountain. The morning was dry if a bit windy but the sky was clear which gave us great views of the Wicklow mountains, Lough Tay and Lough Dan , Sugarloaf and the coast line from Wicklow head to Lambay island. There was even a film crew down in Lough Tay with what looked like a Viking boat and huts at the edge of the lake. Afterwards we had a lovely lunch in the Grange Kitchen at Ballinastoe crossroads. So overall a great day was had. Check out photos from the walk below.

If you want to join us on the next one it will be an evening walk on Saturday 20th June. As it is close to the longest day the plan is to go from Glendalough to Glenamalure along the Wicklow Way. More details and the logistics of the walk will be detailed over the coming weeks. The date for the July walk is Saturday 18th July and the plan at the moment is to go up Lugnaquilla, the highest peak in Leinster. So please put these dates in your diaries.
